My journey into disability advocacy began with my own son.
After his autism diagnosis, our family spent years navigating disability programs, funding systems, and waitlists. Like many caregivers, I quickly realized how complex and overwhelming these systems can be.
Over time I developed a deep understanding of disability funding and how families can advocate for the support they are entitled to
When I successfully advocated for a correction in my son's ODSP status, his monthly funding increased significantly. That experience opened my eyes to how many families may be receiving less support simply because they are unaware of their options.
Today, I help caregivers across Ontario review their ODSP funding and navigate the steps needed to secure the support they qualify for.
